June 26, 2024
9:30 am and 6:30 pm Marie Bostwick, from Gig Harbor, Washington, is an author, quilter, blogger, and wife. Drawing on her lifelong love of quilting and her unshakable belief in the power of sisterhood, Marie’s popular Cobbled Court Quilt series has been embraced by quilters and non-sewers alike. Says Marie: “Community is a central theme in my Cobbled Court novels (A SINGLE THREAD and the five books that follow). The supportive quilting sisterhood that springs up between the characters impacts their lives and the stories in all kinds of ways. Though the books are entirely fictional, there’s a definite “write what you know” aspect at play in them. For more than ten years, I’ve been gathering almost annually for quilting retreats with a very special group of women. We started out as strangers but soon became friends, supporting and encouraging each other through life’s smooth and bumpy roads.” Join us June 26 as Marie shares some of her quilts and stories. You might also be able to get her to autograph one of your books she’s written. Read a short bio. of Marie.
