| Details: | BOLT-TO-BED A Community Service Event
The January 29, 2025 meeting will be Bolt to Bed! For those new to MVQG, Bolt to Bed is a day set aside for making comfort quilts.
We start at 9:30 am* and go until we stop at 5:00 pm. Feel free to come and go throughout the day though. Pack your lunch or take a break and go out to lunch. Bring your sewing machines and quilting supplies. Irons and ironing boards will be provided. We have many Comfort Quilt Kits available for you to choose from or you can bring your own pattern/design and fabrics if you prefer. If you have a charity quilt you have started, you may want to bring it to work on. It really is up to you! If you do not wish to bring your machine, there will be plenty of things to do. You can work at the backing or batting table. You can also help press, cut fabric, stitch down binding, or sew on labels. We plan to have different stations for working on special projects, like fidget quilts. If you have a specialty you would like to lead, let me know and we will set up an area for you.
* Please Note: We will be setting up the Meeting Room from 8:00am - 9:15am. Doors will not open until 9:15am. Those arriving early, will be asked to mingle in the lobby. Comfort Quilt Kits will be available in the lobby after 8:30am. |
